Blockade
Blockade allows the administrator to block certain types of files so they cannot be downloaded. It is completely customizable, and allows you to set user groups so that select users may download unrestriced.Who should use Blockade? Simply put, anyone who would want to block types of files from being downloaded. Want your employees to quit downloading iTunes? Add the download to the list and it won't be a problem any longer. Employers and system administrators may want to use it so their staff do not download executable files. Parents may want to use it so their children don't accidentally install things on their computer. Super users may want to use it as a part of layered defense so that malicious code isn't downloaded by a compromised website.
Blockade has been designed to work in both a private setting or for a corporation. It has the ability to reference a central database (MS Access - required) so that you may make an exclusion list only one time, and then distribute the client to several computers.
